Here we have the Nautilus 2 by Aspire, and before I get going let me warn … its a wordy post.

After the Nautilus X released in June 2016, Aspire unveiled a new successor to the Nautilus Mini: the Nautilus 2. On the innovation; flavors and steam in two stages. Beginners (and others) will appreciate.

Full Disclosure  I bought this for my own use, with real world money. I have no affiliation with its maker and what follows is my own honest opinion about the product. I have seen and used a couple of tanks, but I am not a tank expert. This is currently the only tank I own and the only one I need.

Aspire Official Note   Aspire brings you the new, curvy, Nautilus 2. The latest mouth to lung 2ml tank in the Nautilus series. Nautilus 2 employs a preinstalled 1.8Ω BVC coil, coupled with the bottom air flow adjuster, helping you to fine tune your vaping needs. Shorter chimney minimizes airflow travel and provides a better flavor experience, bringing the best out of your premium e-juice. Interchangeable coils with other Nautilus tanks, further individualizes your vaping experience.

The Aspire Nautilus 2are the revised successor to the popular Nautilus Mini cartomizers that will always hold a spot in vaping history

Let’s see if all that hype was worth it – unlike the lukewarm reception the Nautilus X received after a similar social media teasing campaign 😉

The Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank was made for the average vaper who wants an atomizer to provide a ton of vapor, good flavor, and want an adjustable draw.  They used a bottom dual coil atomizer head to provide good vapor and an adjustable airflow system so everyone can find the perfect draw.

Progressive and Versatile Airflow

One of the main selling points of the Aspire Nautilus 2 is the adjustable airflow system. On the bottom of the tank, there is a ring that rotates allowing users to select one of four air holes. Each air hole is a different size, they are 0.9, 1.1, 1.5, and 1.8mm wide. Depending on which air hole you select you can get a different draw that can change the vapor production, airiness, and even the throat hit. The Aspire Nautilus has a Pyrex glass tank that can hold up to 5mls of e-liquid. With a Pyrex tank, you don’t have to worry about the liquid cracking your tank, but, you trade that off with the fact that the glass can break easier than a plastic tank would.

Ergonomic Drip Tip

Because of the adjustable airflow, large capacity, and ease of use, this tank is perfect for most vapers who are looking to run a tank system. With the adjustable airflow, everyone will be able to find a draw they like with this tank. It’s also fairly easy to use.

The overall finish is excellent. The threads are extremely well made and wholly covered by a solid block metal bell.

The resistance is inserted by screwing it into the bottom of the tank. To do this, remove the Pyrex tank. The operation is a bit difficult on first use because the joint holds the Pyrex quite firmly.

High vapor and excellent flavor rendering

Let’s start the test with the resistance 1.8 ohms. Aspire recommends the use of resistance between 10 and 14 W.

Test Result:

The flavors are excellent. The vapor is a dense and huge cloud, very pleasant. It provides a high level of vapor comfort and the capacity of cloud producing is surprising for such a high resistance atomizer. Finally, the consumption of e-liquid is obviously very low, which is an extremely positive point for the device portfolio.

With the resistance of 0.7 ohms, (one can increase power, from 18 to 23 W ) the vapor is still smooth, dense and cloudy.

Tested with an e-liquid in 80% vegetable glycerin, no dry hit to deplore even at 23 W resistance in 0.7 ohms. Aspire definitely designs very high-quality resistances for this atomizer.

During the test, the Nautilus 2 produced no leakage or leakage. This is rare and extremely pleasant.

In summary

  • Superb quality of vapor
  • No leakage or seepage
  • Performs well
  • Very good volume of Cloud
  • Very reasonable consumption with resistance in 1.8 ohm
  • No dry hit even with e-liquids in high rate of VG
  • Drip tip very nice

Cons :

  • Obligation to empty the tank to change the resistance
  • Airflow difficult to restrict when the clearo is screwed onto a Mod

The Nautilus 2 is simple, perfect and faultless. Easy to use and enough in consumption, particularly with resistance in 1.8 ohms, it provides a good volume of tasty and dense vapor. The Nautilus 2 should stand out as a new standard in the tank category for beginners or for those who prefer a classic and thick vapor.
